Food is our passion here at The Willoughbee, and our chef "Jo" celebrates seasonality. Famed for her homemade cakes, jams and chutneys.

All of our ingredients are carefully hand-picked for your culinary delights.

A little bit of forward planning is needed, as our food is homemade. So please do get in touch in advance to place your reservations.

We also cater for occasions and celebrations, please contact us for a chat and we will create a bespoke menu for your social event.

All of our dishes can be customised, so please let us know if you have any allergens, intolerances or if you would like to switch things up to meet your dietary requirements.

our story

In April 1980, Rose & Eddie Walters purchased Coppice Farm, after years of working hard buying and selling properties they finally got their dream home with land!

Eddie was a butcher by trade he mastered his skills in the Merchant Navy, and Rose was a keen horsewoman. Having worked for many years for other people it was Rose’s ambition to have her very own stable yard.

This wasn’t going to be an easy build with 9 acres of old Brussel sprout fields to sort out!

Rose and Eddie put their heart and soul into the renovation all done on a shoe string, but with sheer determination Rose finally got her stables and Eddie at long last knocked up the Butchers Shop.

‍The reins have now been taken over by their daughter Katie to lovingly restore the outbuildings.

The old Butchers shop has now been beautifully and carefully transformed, and so The Willoughbee is born. Our focus is to deliver a fresh and homemade approach to takeaway food.

Keen to bring something to the community in 2020 Katie teamed up her close musketeer Neil Walker a stellar head chef who has worked in a catalogue of prestigious kitchens in Leicestershire for the past 20 years. Like Eddie, Neil learned his trade as a chef in the Royal Navy rising to personal chef to an admiral.
